On June 10th of 2014, militants with the Islamic State of Iraq and Ash-Sham (ISIS) finalized an assault on Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city and provincial capital of the Nineveh Governorate.

Imagery from August 2nd, 2014 shows a set of buildings located across the tarmac from the Terminal Building has been burned down. These buildings lay on the other side of a wall from the tarmac, but have a small access road leading to a gate on the back side of the tarmac, next to several hangars.
